Explore Mount Torbreck Scenic Reserve: A Summit Challenge

Mount Torbreck Scenic Reserve, located approximately 150 kilometres northeast of Melbourne, Victoria, offers a unique opportunity to explore a significant natural feature. Rising to a height of 1516 metres, the mountain is a prominent landmark in the region.

The reserve holds historical significance as the site of a tragic plane crash in 1940. Thanks to the efforts of dedicated volunteers, a memorial to the four crew members is now accessible via a restored track.

While Mount Torbreck was once considered for development as an alpine resort, it was ultimately designated as a natural and scenic feature reserve in 1994. Today, visitors can enjoy the challenge of ascending the mountain and experiencing the rewarding views from the summit.
